Op. Dr. Murat GÜREL, born in 1975 in Balıkesir/Edremit, is originally from Ordu. He completed his primary education in Konya, and his secondary and high school education in Samsun. During his studies, he placed third in the Mathematics category in the TÜBİTAK competition for the Black Sea region.
Between 1994 and 2000, he continued his education at Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine and began his residency in the Department of Plastic, Reconstructive, and Aesthetic Surgery at Ankara Atatürk Training and Research Hospital in 2006. During his residency, he contributed to numerous national and international research papers. Between 2008-2009, he participated in many cases related to rhinoplasty, breast aesthetics and reconstructive surgery, cleft lip and palate, and various types of flap surgery at Mustafa Kemal University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Plastic, Reconstructive, and Aesthetic Surgery.
Between 2009 and 2012, he also participated in various maxillofacial surgery cases at the Department of Plastic, Reconstructive, and Aesthetic Surgery at Kırıkkale University Faculty of Medicine and completed his doctorate. After completing his six-year doctoral program, he was appointed to Aksaray for his mandatory service. As the Head of the Department of Plastic, Reconstructive, and Aesthetic Surgery, he performed numerous aesthetic and reconstructive surgical operations.
He enjoys outdoor sports. He holds a CMAS 3-star diving certification and has been involved in paragliding. While studying at Hacettepe University, he was also interested in theater and performed for a year in the play "İYİ" at the Ankara Şinasi Stage of the State Theaters. Murat GÜREL loves family trips and culinary journeys. He is married and has two children.
