Op. Dr. Murat Gürel, born in 1975 in Balıkesir/Edremit, is originally from Ordu. He completed his primary education in Konya and his secondary and high school education in Samsun. During his studies, he achieved third place in the Black Sea Region in the Mathematics competition organized by TÜBİTAK.
